I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and a Registered Play Therapist with extensive experience working with infants, toddlers, children and families. I graduated with my Masters in Social Work from University of South Florida in 2008 and became a Registered Play Therapist in 2010. I currently offer individual and family therapy services as well as parent consultation to assist parents and caregivers with their children’s emotions and behaviors.
I have vast experience working with outpatient, in-home and residential programs with children and families prior to starting my own practice. I have specialized experience and training in infant mental health, which focuses on the ages of 0-6, addressing the way young children express feelings, assisting parents with handling difficult behaviors, and building on the parent-child bond.
I work with clients from birth through adolescence, utilizing a family systems, strengths-based approach. Working from attachment theory, I believe the foundation of a child's well being stems from the caregiver-child relationship. I collaborate with and empower parents by providing them with tools they can use at home, in order for families to reap long term benefits from therapy.
Parenting and caregiving for our children is one of the hardest, yet most important, roles we can have. As the saying goes, it takes a village to raise a child. I am here to be part of that village- if you'd like to hear more about what I can offer you, your child, or your family, I'd be happy to schedule a free 30 minute consultation with you.
